Sky Watch Friday

Having had a wet week with uninteresting clouds. It was a surprise that they all cleared away today at 6.30pm and gave me the chance to take these shots .

These are photographs taken in Scotland last winter. On the drive up I knew we were nearly at our destination in Perthshire, when the clouds drifted before us obscuring the trees and bushes.
At night the complex became quite sealed off by these clouds.

Pine Lake Bubbles

Our grandson and daughter joined us on holiday at Pine Lake.
In the mornings before we had structured the day he would play on the balcony.
A bubble machine we had bought him became a favourite toy and he entertained the many birds with these bubbles which floated out far across the lake.

Skywatch Friday Sunset

Today I registered at Skywatch.
This was a picture taken at 20.00 hours last night, having seen the bright sky through our window.
I did wonder if there was a fire at a near by Aviation Centre.
I am glad to say that the sun was showing off its wonderful colour. It is lovely to be able to see these displays.

Rain and yet more rain

As you can see its rather wet.
In some ways I do not mind as weeding and tidying the garden is much easier when the ground is no longer parched.
The plants too take on a deeper colour.
Better get used to it, as the weather forecast is for more of this rain persisting over the next two months.
I read today that the wonderful autumn tree colour foliage is well advanced, Horse Chestnut trees are well on their way to providing children with this years conkers and other trees are displaying signs of leaf drop for winter.
I can pip this as my crocuses are showing their leaves already, the weather is certainly mixed up.

The Place to Visit

I spent the weekend with one of my daughters in Northampton, not only was it a lovely weekend with her and her family, we also visited The Bramble Patch.

The Bramble Patch is a craft shop with the most fantastic display of fabrics and accessories, Yarns and accessories, Sewing Kits, Wall Hangings, a Book shop, a Studio for all craft classes, an exhibition centre, a fund raising centre for various charities and a coffee shop.

I am sure that I have missed something out so I thought that you might like to take a tour yourself, visit

e mail:

Telephone or fax 01327 342212

The shop offers a loyalty scheme by way of a percentage of your total payment, recorded on a loyalty card. Very nice at certain times of the year when you are looking for a gift and the loyalty payment covers the cost.

The staff are always smiling, cheerful and helpful, they will go to lengths to help with any enquiries you may have.

There are weekly and short courses held here throughout the whole year.
I asked the staff, if working in the centre fore filled their craft desires.
Yes you guessed the answer was no, like all of us they to spend as much time as is available crafting.
