Navigation Wharf Mooring.

A while back I mentioned the Swing Bridge, picture three, being built across the River Slea.
The rational was that river visitors could travel near to the town, moor and enjoy a break, while shopping.
Since then funds have been applied for and a slip way and mooring point, built for Canal boats.
There is no access to this area by river yet.
It would be lovely to think that this could be accomplished, in the future though.
In the mean time what a lovely place to set a floating eating house.
There is a public house near by called the Barge and Bottle.
Enough said perfect.

Hey Imac, thanks for stopping by.
I read today the there are plans to open the lower stretch of the river.
Making travel to Lincoln and Boston available.
These things do take a lot of organising and cost a lot of money though.
However small boats are able to use a section of the river, using the new slipway.
Messing about on the river springs to mind.

It looks lovely, and boating is becoming so popular again. I hope they open up the connecting waterways.

Hi Dancin' yes the area looks altogether different now classy and well designed.
There are car parks both sides of the river, one of which enables folk to tow their boats to the slipway.
Its a favourite place for young people to relax too.
I read this morning that plans are to link to Boston and Lincoln waterways.
So far I have seen the figure £250,K for the bridge and slip way.
Meanwhile how about a boat to mess about in.
Wagon and Horses could be revitalised soon.
