Sky Watch 12

It has been an overcast week here with lots of rain and I
could not think what to do to make a sky watch feature for tonight.

At 2.30 pm today, I went to the fourth floor outside gallery of the HUB, an exhibition centre
near where I live and found these three pictures. They show the sky as it has been.

The first is: Autumn colours, the willows in the background are opposite my bowls club.

The second is: The Mill, in Moneys Yard. Having been repaired it is now a restaurant.

The third is St Denys Church.

To enlarge any picture please double click on it.

To see more wonderful pictures from around the world , just click on the Sky Watch Banner in my side bar.

Last week saw Tom, one of the founders of Sky Watch retire. He will I am sure be greatly missed.
May I say that I had not known you for long Tom, though I really enjoyed you photography.
I wish you and your family well.
Let us know how you do in the Rally, when you have completed your Land Rover tuning.

Thanks so much for sharing the interesting folk lore about dewdrops. How cool. I will have to try that! Great autumn colors. Sorry about your dreary sky.

So glad to see someone else has grey skies too, besides ourselves! These are especially dark and moody aren't they... very November. Thank you for sharing the photos and your thoughts; I enjoyed this post!

The trees are gorgeous, Lilli but I must admit the skies do appear gloomy. ;-)

I actually like overcast skies on autumn days some of the time and I think your shots are quite beautiful.

A very grim sky, but some interesting things under it!

Grey skies, blue skies, they're all skies we all see. Your autumn foliage photo at top is very appealing, but the grey sky photos of the town have their own interest.

Good idea to go up higher to catch so nice skies. Even though the skies are grey, you still got some really great sky captures. This time of the year tends to me a little on the gloomy side.
Thanks so much for visiting me and the nice comments. It really means a lot. =)

I am enjoying all of your photos, particularly the one with the trees wearing their autumn colors. I think the tree colors are even more intense in the rain. That's what I find around here.

Hello! They are lovely. Brilliant views and amazing colours. You do manage to find something great to photograph even on grey days, well done!

Oh, these colors are wonderful, and so are the buildings! Wonderful shots.

I have not gotten here yet because as a SWF team member, we have sections, and this wasn't mine. So I do my section first then get to the rest as I can. I'm glad I got here. It's so beautiful!

Thank you all for your visits and friendly comments.
I enjoy being able to visit you all and see what is happening to the skies, in the rest of the world.
Nature never stops surprising me and I dare say you too.
Have a good week everyone.
