This was taken a week ago when we had rain and westerly winds. Unfortunately the blooms are too heavy to withstand the weather they received. I will help them next year with a frame to support them.
Beautiful pictures! Our peony has suffered a little for the move but is doing much better this year than last although no flowers yet. Mac's Niece showed me her peony at the weekend and it too is beautiful and so sweet smelling.
Thanks dancin'fool for the comment. Is mac's neice peony the white one? mine is gathering strength and I will plant it in the border this year. If they do not flower they have been planted too deep they need the crown at ground level.Chicken wire rolled into a ring and placed around the crown early in spring prior to them flowering keeps them in a controlled bush shape.

Thanks for the tip! I will try that for next year.
Macs Niece's peony is white. I don't know how they have fared the recent rain.
