Sky Watch Friday 43

Good evening everyone.

A while ago I showed you our church surrounded and supported by scaffolding, due to the
damage to the spire in the quake we experienced.

The vane was taken to be re gilded while the spires repairs were being made and then into the local junior
school so that all the children could jump over it.
A tale to tell their own children, that they had jumped over the church vane.
Each child was assisted to jump by two teachers, while a third held the vane to the school floor.
The repairs have now been completed and Lord L ,(my other half) took the above church photos for tonight post.

Today has been unusual weather wise, we started with brilliant sunshine, followed by heavy rain, then back to the
sunshine, then rain and hail stones. No matter as you can see we are left with lovely skies this evening.

The apple tree in our garden.

There are more volunteers now who weekly monitor and supervise the seam free running of the meme.

Beautiful. How wonderful for the children to jump over the vane. And yes, what a story they'll have to tell their children!

What an interesting post. Those children will enjoy the looks on their children's and grandchildren's faces when they tell the story of the vane. Your apple tree looks most productive - are the apples as tasty as they look?

Beautful views for sure...and I think the children jumping over the vane is a great idea... I would think that will become a local legend when they grow up and pass the story on...
Love the Windmills in the post below.
I'm sorry I've not dropped by for a while but life as been very hectic, with a new grandson, and so much more happening.

Thank you for your visits, and comments and of course it always pleases me to see me and Dot remembered as being a part of Sky Watch...
